This is from Gerald Ford's short address to the nation after he was sworn in as President in August 1974:
I believe that truth is the glue that holds government together, not only our Government but civilization itself.(Gerald wasn't SO committed to the truth to prevent him from giving Noxin a full pardon 31 days later.)
