THESE PEOPLE ARE TOUGH TO ARGUE WITH

Over at AJStrata's place, I became involved in an argument about FISA and related matters. AJS claimed "No Bush did not change the [NSA] policies after Lamberth left the court."

First we have to establish when Lamberth left the court. From the NY Times AP article cited below:

Judge Lamberth was named chief of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in 1995 by Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist. He held that post until 2002.

Now we need to know when Bush changed the policies relating to the NSA taps. Bush agreed to make them on March 12, 2004:

...after an Oval Office meeting March 12 with Bush, Comey said. After meeting separately with Comey and Mueller, Bush gave his support to making changes in the program, Comey testified. The administration has never disclosed what those changes were.

I posted this at AJS and still he writes:

Bush made the changes in 2001. 2004 was the renewel of the program (renewed every 45 days by executive order).

Liars are hard to argue with.
Strata has assured his readers of
decisive "turning points" in the war since 2004 and is no different from Cheney who refuses to admit his "final throes" remark.

No integrity, no discussion.

Thanx, I didn't know that.
