OBAMA NAILS THE MOTU CULTURE OF CORRUPTION

Discussing the outrageous AIG bonuses, Pres. Obama correctly described it as a moral issue:
“All across the country, there are people who work hard and meet their responsibilities every day, without the benefit of government bailouts or multimillion-dollar bonuses,” said Mr. Obama, who called the issue one of “fundamental values.”

“All they ask is that everyone, from Main Street to Wall Street to Washington, play by the same rules,” he said, adding that the troubles with A.I.G. underscored the need for broad regulatory reform “so we don’t find ourselves in this position again.”

The right-wing Christian media doesn't seem to have grasped the moral implications of this issue. A commentary at CNS News uses AIG to argue for an extension of all the Bush tax cuts and only makes a snide comment about the AIG employees who worked with derivatives. At OneNewsNow, the news arm of Wildmon's AFA, the AP versions of this story are present but there is no discussion at all of the moral issue. There's no mention of the story on either the Focus on the Family site or its political offshoot, the Family Research Council.
