ANOTHER REASON TO OPPOSE COMMUNISM
In "The Theme is Freedom," John Dos Passos notes how the Communists also fought against the other Republican groups such as the socialists and the anarchists and contributed indirectly to Franco's eventual victory. This reminded me of Bracher's book about the Weimar Republic, especially how he described how the German Communist party (KPD) refused to collaborate with the major socialist party (SPD) to make a ruling majority, so indirectly the KPD led to the rise of Hitler.
