Baggers and Becksters seem to think that freedom is a universal requirement for all humans and this is self-evident.   Of course, they know almost nothing about history of slavery and how many thousands of years it took for some men to realize that slavery is wrong.   It is NOT by any means self-evident otherwise a man as perspicacious as Aristotle would have realized that it was wrong - but he didn't.

From POLITICS, Book 1, [1255a]:

It is manifest therefore that there are cases of people of whom some are freemen and the others slaves by nature, and for these slavery is an institution both expedient and just.
