I'm only a layman but it seems to me he has some serious psychiatric problems.   His delusions seem to have a little bit of Glenn Beck's shtick (the monetary part), and a little Bagger (the unconstitutional part) but I have the sense that he could've latched onto any other weirdness to help make sense of the world.
