DOE on PEAK OIL

Below I posted the main graphs from a 2004 DOE paper on peak oil. The paper I took them from can be found here. As I noted before, Kevin Drum put together a great primer on this topic.

I was spurred to do this after I listened to Jerome "Swiftboat" Corsi on a local wingnut show explain that there was no looming oil shortage because we can still find what he calls "abiotic oil." This is a crank theory that claims that oil is not solely a fossil fuel but is also produced by natural chemical processes in the Earth.
