After about a week, links to NY Times articles go to the archive section and that means you have to pay to read the article. Thanks to a tip by Kevin Drum, there's a way around this for blogs.
You take the original NY Times link and go to the NY Times Link Generator and convert it to a permanent link.
I've added a link to this generator at the top of my links list.
