PORT POLL ON AOL

Below I noted that on the AOL message board about the UAE deal, a large majority of the comments were negative. I did not do a count of the posts but here's a reflection of just how negative the AOL public is about this:

Do you favor legislation to put the deal on hold until further review?
Yes
96%
No
4%
Total Votes: 115,128

How concerned are you about an Arab company running U.S. ports?
Very 93%
Somewhat 5%
Not at all 3%
Total Votes: 129,859

How concerned are you about port security?
Very
93%
Somewhat
5%
Not at all
2%
Total Votes: 243,894

Do you suspect the administration evaluated the company well?
No 84%
Yes 16%
Total Votes: 83,794

Although these online AOL polls aren't scientific, they support my contention that the AOL public doesn't like this deal. The last poll is particularly interestesting because it indicates that on this issue, the AOL public isn't buying the "Fredo is strong on defense" meme. I hope the Democrats can make some political capital out of this scandal.
