THE NATIONAL SECURITY GAP

(I got this lead from some poster on some blog but unfortunately, by the time I had read and absorbed the link, I had forgotten who and where.)

NPR commissioned a nation-wide poll on a number of issues and the Democrats are finally closing the "who would you trust with our national security" gap:

Democrats win every security debate in this poll and when voters are asked who they trust more on issues including the Iraq war, foreign ownership of US ports, and homeland security issues, Democrats come out on top. The only exception is the nuclear threat in Iran, where Republicans have a narrow 5 point advantage.
