WINGNUT THINKING

Once in a while, I engage in debates on wingnut blogs and I am never disappointed about the failure of winger blog commenters to miss the point and attack the person (me in this case) instead of the arguments the person made. In one discussion of Fredo's "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." statement, I was eventually accused of sedition by one half-wit at Captain's Quarters:

SKIP: but that will not stop people like SteveJ. Traitor is perhaps too strong a word. this is more like sedition I should think. Nobody much cares about SteveJ's sedition here on a website.

On Neo-neocon's blog, I entered into a discussion about the role fear plays in the world views of conservatives and liberals. Part of this devolved into a discussion about the Vietnam War and once again I wasn't let down by a commenter:

GRACKLE: Steve has exactly the same type of giddy hero-worship of the North Vietnam Communists that the anti-warriors of that era did.
