RADIO ODDS 'N ENDS

These are notes I've taken on the craziness in wingnut radio that I never got around to posting.

Neil Boortz favors income-weighted voting! The more you make, the more votes you get, up to a maximum of five. Boortz also thinks that in natural disasters like Katrina, we should save the rich first.

Slots Bennett is convinced of the righteousness of our cause in Iraq but has worries about the fortitude of the American people. He wanted Bush to pardon Libby instead of commuting his sentence.

On Medved's show, Dick Morris falsely claimed that the Patriot Act prevented the Brooklyn Bridge from being blown up.

Fats Limbaugh claimed that there's no difference between liberalism and socialism. He also said we've never had a better economy than the one we have today. Fats indulged in a little class warfare by railing against "Ivy League Liberals" who want to take over the government so they can enforce their views without having to face elections.

Insannity wants Chuck Hagel to lose in the GOP primary. He also claims that Social Security IS broke right now. He also claimed that we have the greatest health care system in the world. When he was talking about his political beliefs, one of his major points was that "enforcing the law matters." Insannity praised Michael Yon for letting us know what the MSM won't tell us about Iraq. Global warming activists are "anti-capitalists." Insannity hasn't forgotten the phrase "solemn vow." Today he said he has taken one to defeat Hillary Clinton.

Pious Prager "encourages everyone to join the military."

Greg Knapp, an overnight host on a local wingnut station, peddled the meme that no matter where we are fighting, it's all the same war.

Foamer Levin spewed out a nasty smear a couple of days ago: "The Democratic leadership has a very high tolerance for mass murder." Sometimes he substituted "genocide" for "mass murder."
