RADIO TIDBITS

Jerry Doyle wonders why Sen. Vitters sexual escapades got more attention than LA Mayor Villaraigosa's extra-marital affair. Could it be because Vitters is one of the "family values" bloviators? From ThinkProgress:

In Oct. 1998, Vitter attacked President Clinton, arguing the proper question was not whether people cared but rather whether Clinton was “morally unfit to govern.”

Some current polls may suggest that people are turned off by the whole Clinton
mess and don’t care — because the stock market is good, the Clinton spin machine
is even better or other reasons. But that doesn’t answer the question of whether
President Clinton should be impeached and removed from office because he is morally unfit to govern.

Unlike most of the other right-wing radio hosts, Doyle isn't completely one-sided in his attacks. For example, he did criticize the military over it's handling of the Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch events. On the other hand, he does go as far overboard as the others, stooping to call Michael Moore "anti-American."

Isannity was in almost perfect form today. He mentioned the newly-released NIE about threats to the U.S. and blamed the Democrats! There is an odd contradiction in Insannity's attacks on the Democrats. One the one hand, he says they are ineffectual but maintains they have done great damage by obstructing Pres. Fredo. His Iraq War commentary is still poorly informed: he asserted that in Iraq, "the security measures are in place" but didn't bother to tell his audience that the Iraqi armed forces certainly aren't in place.
