I was a bit surprised this morning as I was listening to Slots Bennett because he didn't mention the op-ed by the 7 soldiers that appeared in the Sunday NY Times. Of course, Slots was all over the misleadingly optimistic O'Hanlon/Pollack op-ed. Digby discussed the soldier's op-ed on Sam Seder's radio show and thought that the wingnuts would:
I think the right will go into overdrive to present these guys as good and decent patriotic non-coms (who-aren't-all-that-bright-if-you-know-what-I-mean-shhhh.) They aren't capable of seeing the big picture there with their big clumsy boots on the ground and their heads in the sand. They're very sweet, but let's get serious. Very Serious People know a little bit more about these Very Serious issues than these well-meaning boys.
Greg Sargent at The Horse's Mouth notes that the op-ed didn't get much coverage at all from the MSM, especially in comparison to not only the O'Pollack op-ed but also other pro-war news items. It did make Freeperville and gathered some of the responses we've come to expect from those extremists:

Curious, what was the political orientation of these “Soldiers” before they went to Iraq? Who is paying the bills for them to go out and propagandize like this? Could it be they are just the latest in a long line of Democrat Party propaganda stooges?

There were also several posts that upbraided the critics, so it seems even FreeperWorld isn't completely insulated from the facts.
As a further example of my unending search for evidence, I listened to about 20 minutes of Foamer Mark Levine's show and there was no mention of the op-ed.
