GASBAG AGIT-PROP

There are two major themes today on gasbag radio: (1) The Dems were meanies to Gen. PR Petraeus and (2) Iraq and 9-11 are part of the same war. There are a few variants of (1) that deserve mention because they are so far from the truth. One is that the Democrats hate the military and the other is that they are weak on national security. War Whore Lieberman was on Slots Bennett's show and played concern troll by worrying that the treatment by the Dems of Petraeus may hurt their chances in 2008 because people will begin to think that the Dems hate the military. Foamer Levin made the same point last night and was outraged that the Democrats even dared to question PR. Fats Limbaugh also chimed in and tried to make fun of the House Democrats, notably Rep. Lantos, who weren't buying PR's happy talk about Iraq.

Today, Hannity repeatedly linked the war in Iraq to 9-11 and referred once again to a "clash of civilizations."
