"HEADS I WIN, TAILS YOU LOSE"

I recall but can't find an exchange on one of the talk shows about Osama and Kerry before the 2004 election. A Republican claimed that if Osama was captured, it would hurt Kerry AND if Osama wasn't captured, it would hurt Kerry. Similar logic is found all the time in wingnut world.

That was Fats Limbaugh's approach to the Columbia/Ahmadinejad event. He admitted he was a bit flummoxed by Pres. Bollinger's tough questions but then turned it against the anti-war Left by rhetorically asking where was this attitude 5 years ago? Sean Insannity claimed that Bollinger only asked tough questions because of all the pressure brought to bear by conservatives and complained that conservatives can't get heard on campus.

UPDATE:

Vanderleun at American Digest has a nice roundup of wingnut reactions.
