SCOTTIE & THE WINGNUTS

Scott McClellan's startling admission that Bush, Cheney, Libby, Rove and Card lied to him about the Plame leak is making some news. It's gotten some traction on Digg and the AP has also done the story. Using the Henry Hyde criterion, I think this is an impeachable offense. ThinkProgress noted a week ago that a poll revealed that 55% of Americans think Bush "abused his powers" but only 34% think he should be impeached. The corresponding numbers for Cheney are 52% and 43%. Will McClellan's revelation change those numbers?

Thanx to Memeorandum, I can share a reaction from one wingnut:

MACSMIND: "Yeah, yeah they all knew about Valerie Plame, and made “Scottie” lie. Boy! You would think Fitzgerald would have discovered that after two years and 30 million bucks!"
