I'm talking about St. John McCain. Tonight he apparently forgot that he's said several times in the past that he doesn't know that much about economics. He's said this as recently as last December in the Boston Globe and the Baltimore Sun. Even the WSJ caught this lapse:
McCain also appeared to have a memory lapse on former comments he has made acknowledging that his economic expertise is not as strong as his national security expertise. “I’m very well versed on economics,” McCain asserted tonight, arguing that “my credentials and my experience and my knowledge of these economic issues, I think, are extensive. And I would match them against anybody who’s running.”
