HITCHENS HAS SWITCHED TO ROTGUT

That's one explanation for his "blame the victim" column in Slate, subtitled "Why on earth would we choose to put the Clinton family drama at the center of our politics again?". Hitchens rehashes the sex scandal as if it occurred just a few months ago and repeats the outrageous claims of Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick. Let's not forget that Broaddrick's story was investigated:
True, when summoned by Jones's lawyers, Boaddrick signed an affidavit denying the story she is now telling; true, Kenneth Starr and the FBI found her account inconclusive, as they would many other twenty-one-year-old accounts.

The same kind of criticism applies to Willey:
Indeed, Independent Counsel Robert Ray would eventually give up on Willey. In his formal report on the Clinton investigations, Ray said that Willey had lied to the FBI; he even suggested that he had considered prosecuting her for her conduct.

Worst of all, Hitchens doesn't say a word about the vicious Republican Noise Machine behind this attempted coup.
