Many experts and pundits who were terribly wrong about Iraq are still read or listened to with respect they clearly do not deserve. Similarly, the idiots who didn't see that (1) there was a housing bubble and (2) that it's inevitable collapse could be a very serious problem ARE still treated with a respect they no longer deserve.
