Dan Froomkin at the WaPo finds another lie from Bush about the Iraq War:
Q. " Syria is -- last question, last question. Mr. President, seriously the end question. Obviously the people have in mind that the presentation at the U.N. with regard to the Iraqi weapon of mass destruction, so how do you see that?"
Bush: "Look, the difference was, in this case, there was concrete examples. I mean, everybody that analyzed the data realized it was true."
First of all, the aluminum tubes are the only concrete evidence we had. Second, our own experts in the Dept. of Energy and the State Dept. didn't think they werre suitable for use in centrifuges.
Third, neither the Russians nor the French thought the claims about a nuclear weapons program were plausible.
