MARKOS VS. FATS

We know that Fats Limbaugh has been urging his dittoheads to switch parties and vote for Hillary, not only to prolong the Democratic primary process but also in the hopes of real violence at the nominating convention in Denver. Some time ago, I recall that Markos Moulitsos urged his readers to vote for Mitt Romney in the open Michigan primary and I had a mildly negative reaction at the time. Hot Air claims Markos and Fats are on the same moral plane but I have to disagree. For one, Markos pointed to a history of GOP meddling in Democratic primaries and he wanted to push back. Markos also did not hope for violence, as Fats has, and Markos certainly doesn't want to create more division in America, as Fats does:

CALLER: I believe that we need -- that our whole premise on working hard for our side is to bring all Americans together, Democrats, Republicans, and independents even, under one common goal that our forefathers designed for us.

RUSH: That's what we're trying to do. You don't bring them together. We don't bring people together. That's not how this country works. We defeat our political adversaries so that they're in the minority.

[snip]

RUSH: ...Riots in Denver at the Democrat convention would see to it we don't elect Democrats -- and that's the best damn thing could happen for this country as far as anything I can think: Don't elect Democrats!

In a rare moment of idealism, Chris Matthews speaks out against Fats (via SilentPatriot at Crooks & Liars):
“I have to offer a ‘Keith-style’ Special Comment on that. Anyone who voted to screw up the political system of this country with the purpose of mischief should carry that with them the rest of their lives. What a ridiculous way to use the vote for which people fought and died — to use that vote to make mischief. I hope you’re proud of yourself.”
