I wouldn't think there would be any need to continue beyond the first sentence.

IRAQ remains a violent country plagued by high unemployment, raw wounds from sectarian conflict, extremist militias aided by Iran, more than four million people still displaced by violence, and very limited government capacity to meet the country’s core needs.

I can help a little.
..."major improvement" is like going from failing with a 25 to failing with a 35 when the cut off to a D- is 66.
"First, the government of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki showed real backbone by undertaking major military operations that ultimately reclaimed Iraq’s chief southern city of Basra, the Baghdad neighborhood of Sadr City, and much of the northern city of Mosul."
Iranian peacemaking was decisive,
purposely unmentioned by the liars.
"Iraq’s government now controls almost all of the country for the first time since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein."
A lie, shown by the later admission that "American (and British) combat support and advisory teams remain critical"
"On the whole, we feel that the Iraqi government is about halfway to meeting the 11 “Iraq index” benchmarks we have laid out, which include steps like establishing provincial election laws, reaching an oil-revenue sharing accord and enacting pension and amnesty laws."
"Halfway" after 5 years means they want 5 more years on a bet against their record of pre-war "mistakes" and current distortions.
No thanks.

Badger has some great translations of Iraqi and Arab Shia and Sunni
clerics coming out with edicts forbidding the signing of a status of forces agreement with the Bush Administration.
Ken,
Thanx for all the great links you've posted on here.

The Reality
Sunni Awakenings are re-integrating into the resistance as US troop losses in Iraq see a marked increase from May to June, none of the losses noted by Strata on his blog.
