Do you remember the Milgram experiments? Well, Sen. Kit Bond (R-MO) is one of the people those experiments warned us about: mindlessly obedient to authority. Here's what Bond had to say on NPR's Morning Edition today1:
WELNA: Kit Bond, who's the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, agrees on the point that the phone companies should not punished for going along with what the Bush administration asked them to do.
Senator KIT BOND (Republican, Missouri): When the government tells you to do something, I think you all recognize that that is something that you need to do.
Bond had a little more to say along these lines as Dow Jones reports:
"I'm not here to say that the government is always right, but when the government tells you to do something, I'm sure you would all agree that I think you all recognize that is something you need to do," Bond said
