In this article, "Obama, McCain agree on many once-divisive issues," the LAT ignores the fact that important segments of the GOP base are opposed to stem-cell research and they also think man-made global warming is a hoax. In other areas, the GOP base is also out of the mainstream. Mitt Romney even stated that efforts to prevent nuclear weapon proliferation is a "liberal" issue.

It's time we try to convince the MSM that it most cases, the positions of the GOP's base are outside the mainstream.
