Yesterday, Phil Hendrie had Rep. John Culberson (R-TX) and Culberson is one of Newt's Idiots who think "Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less." is a real solution to our energy needs. What I found interesting is Culberson's praise of 2 large government programs, the Manhattan Project and the Apollo Project, in spite of the fact that he professes a belief in the Free Market Fairy. Culberson was using those successful government programs as models for what we should do about the energy crunch without seeming to realize that those were not free market projects.
On the issue of taxes, Culberson toed the GOP line of cutting them as the solution to just about all our problems and even told Phil we should give Big Oil MORE tax cuts for investing in renewable energy.
