Eric Alterman writes that Tom Brokaw got his own special McCain Tank:
Discussing McCain's success in the Republican primaries, [Tom] Brokaw attributed it to the candidate's "indomitable will," and opined that McCain won by simply being "the most authentic...he wasn't trying to reinvent himself."
This of course is completely false. McCain has spent the last 2 years turning himself into a politician the GOP base could vote for and that means he's no longer the McCain of 2000. Brokaw, like Mark Halperin, is another big-time journalist who seems to be aiding McCain.
