WHAT "FAMOUS TEMPER"?

In the excerpt from HARDBALL I posted below, Roger Simon of Politico mentions McCain's "famous temper" but it seems that it's only famous in The Village because it doesn't get much coverage in the media. The lack of coverage IS an important issue because the McCain campaign and the GOP and surrogates like Hannity will try to use the "character issue" to attack Obama.
