Like the other wingnuts, Hannity is blaming the Big Shitpile on Fannie and Freddie making sub-prime loans. The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) also forced banks to make bad loans. In turn, this is used to bash Democrats because they not only supported the creation of both entities and the CRA, they also refused to perform more rigorous oversight. Today, Hannity called for Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to resign because they are two of the main backers of these scams.
We know these claims are false but Hannity's listeners don't and I suspect that very few of them will bother to check the facts.
