HEWITT ISN'T THE ONLY HYPOCRITE

Steve Schmidt, now a spokesman for the McCain campaign but previously a high-level lying whore in the criminal Bush regime, had this to say about The Pregnancy:

Palin says 17-year-old daughter is pregnant

"Senator McCain's view is this is a private family matter. As parents, (the Palins) love their daughter unconditionally and are going to support their daughter," said McCain spokesman Steve Schmidt.

"Life happens," he said.

"An American family," added Salter.

Advisers said Palin's daughter should be afforded privacy like the other candidates' children. Said Schmidt: "If people try to politicize this, the American people will be appalled."

Schmidt himself is one of the people responsible for pushing the GOP's "family values" meme and the associated belief that Southern Baptists and those who resemble them are the only REAL Americans. I do agree that the Palin's are "an American family" and that "life happens" but Schmidt helps those who wish to demonize liberals who are in fact more accepting of the realities of American life.
