THE PALIN INVESTIGATION

The Obama campaign provided a couple of Alaska insiders to talk about Palin's very own Troopergate. What I found interesting is how many Alaska Republicans vote FOR the it.

In Alaska, the head of the Senate and the head of the House are Republicans. And Republican Senate President Lyda Green was one of the more vocal people calling for an investigation. That’s how this started.

The -- this investigation was going ahead as a legislative investigation. Back in July, the -- a legislative committee called Legislative Council met. It had eight Republicans and four Democrats on it, and they unanimously said, “It’s time to go ahead with an investigation into whether there was any impropriety in the way Governor Palin may have tried to fire Trooper Wooten.

So it’s very important to remember that this is a -- again, a Republican majority and bipartisan effort.
