Matt Drudge hasn't been that influential this election cycle, as others have noted, and perhaps by bringing up Obama's 2001 interview with WBEZ-FM, he's trying to get back his influence. The wingnuts are screaming that this proves Obama is a socialist but if you listen to the audio or read the transcript, that's simply not true.
Today, Hannity and Levin dutifully repeated the wingnut lies about this interview and in my opinion, just reduce the little credibility they have because they played excerpts of the interview and then immediately misinterpreted it.
