Steve Benen at the Washington Monthly catches William "The Bloody" Kristol reversing himself about the McCain campaign in a mere 7 days. In his 10/06/08 op-ed in the NYT, Kristol wanted McCain to step up the "character" attacks on Obama. McCain does so but this week Kristol says the McCain campaign is a miserable failure and he should drop the attacks on Obama.
Why does anyone give Kristol a platform? Is it a tacit version of affirmative action for wingnuts?
