WHAT'S BEHIND THE A.C.O.R.N. "SCANDAL"

Back in 2006, I worked for ACORN doing voter registration and handing out vote by mail applications. We were told that we had to make sure the people we signed up were for real - no padding the stats was permitted. The stink the wingnuts and others are making misses the key point: The workers turning in those forms are defrauding ACORN, not the local board of elections.
