Fats Limbaugh repeated the wingnut lie that the New Deal didn't help get us out of the Great Depression and Hannity blamed the Democrats for the bad economy. This new agit-prop effort by the gasbags is truly Stalinesque and this is one of the reasons we need some sort of Fairness Doctrine to rebut their lies and misinformation.

KNST, my local Clear Channel station that carries Fats, encourages listeners to sign an online petition to support Fats and Free Speech. Here's a screen capture -


KFYI in Phoenix is another Clear Channel station and it also carries Fats but I couldn't find a petition on its site. WBAP in Dallas is a Citadel station and it also has a petition and this one explicitly mentions the Democrats:

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an on-line petition drive against talk show host Rush Limbaugh. You can find it on the dccc.org website. The DCCC is upset that Rush would say that he “hopes” the President fails on his policies.

We have started a petition drive in support of Rush Limbaugh and all of those in talk radio. We feel it is freedom of speech.

Please take the time to listen to Limbaugh’s comments on the President during a visit with Sean Hannity on Fox News and then sign on to our petition. We will pass on your name and comments to Rush and his network.
