UM, WHY WOULD THE DEMS ASK?

The GOP is whining that they weren't invited to the Senate-House conference to come up with a compromise stimulus bill. First of all, there's no need to invite House GOP members because they all voted against the House bill. They've taken their stand and are no longer relevant. In the Senate, the only GOP members who matter are Specter, Collins and Snowe and they aren't bitching.
