A NUMBERS PROBLEM

Bloomberg reports that the Federal Reserve is taking the main role in doing the stress tests of bank holding companies and I was wondering how many people work for the Fed. According to the 2007 annual report, there were a total of 19,030 employees. If we add the Fed and the FDIC together and try to add in the number of new hires at the FDIC, the total may be around 25,000. The Office of Thrift Supervision has about another 1,100.

Would all of them put together be enough to handle Citigroup?
