THE AP CHANNELS NEWT GINGRICH

In an analysis piece, LARRY MARGASAK repeats most of the GOP's talking points about Nancy Pelosi and shows little interest in getting at the facts. He writes:
It may never be resolved exactly when she first learned that waterboarding had been used against terror suspects—in 2002 when she was the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee or five months later after she became her party's leader.

Marcy Wheeler (emptywheel) does the real analysis and found that Porter Goss's statements are consistent with what Pelosi claimed, that the CIA did not tell Congress in the Fall of 2002 that it was waterboarding prisoners:
Porter Goss says Pelosi should have known "the techniques on which they were briefed were to actually be employed." But he doesn't say she should have known "the techniques on which they were briefed had already been employed."

Margasak is upfront when it comes to revealing who he supports and it's not the rule of law:
She says the CIA and the Bush administration misled her about when the waterboarding, which simulates drowning, began. But Republicans don't have to fight that battle.

Why don't they? Is it because the MSM is once again supporting the GOP war whores?
