WHAT WE'RE STILL UP AGAINST

I visited Tucson for a few days in 1996 and I came across the local alternative paper. In it, a story reported that one of the state legislators claimed that the Russians had hidden troops in caves all across America and supplied them with a lot of wheat so they could survive until the time came to attack. That was one of the reasons I decided not to move.

Do you remember the move Red Dawn? Well, I stumbled across this post from a 40-year old war whore:
In all seriousness, the movie at the time was an interesting reflection of the fear that many of my generation had. Its underlying foundation was very real, and scarily plausible.

This sort of untutored mind is one of the real threats America faces.
