VICTOR DAVIS HANSON IS STILL LYING ABOUT IRAQ

In this piece on Real Clear Politics, Hanson repeats an old lie about the AUMF Congress passed before the Iraq War:
Second was how the changing public mood affected politics. In October 2002, the Republican-controlled House and Senate, with plenty of Democratic support, voted overwhelming to authorize the Iraq war.

Congress cited 23 reasons why we should remove Saddam. The majority of these authorizations had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction.

There were two crucial conditions in the AUMF which were not met: (1) Further diplomatic measures would not result in either threat reduction OR full compliance with U.N. resolutions AND (2) this action is part of the war on terror.
