WHEN I HEAR CONSERVATIVES TALK ABOUT THE 10TH AMENDMENT

two quotes come to mind. One from the French writer Anatole France:
The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

and the other by the great Janis Joplin:
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose,

Conservatives will even use the Bible to justify poverty.
