ADAM SMITH: KEEN OBSERVER OF HUMAN NATURE

In his Wealth of Nations, he made this wry observation:
The late resolution of the Quakers in Pennsylvania, to set at liberty all their negro slaves, may satisfy us that their number cannot be very great.

I'm sure governors Pawlenty and Jindal would try to cut off state funds to ACORN in any case, but it's a bit easier to do when ACORN doesn't get any state money from either Minnesota or Louisiana.
