John Batchelor attacks Rahm Emmanuel for pointing out how krazy some of Pres. Obama's critics and attempts to whitewash the history of conservatism.
First, he notes that William F. Buckley and other conservative leaders moved away from Robert Welch (John Birch Society founder) but neglects to mention that Buckley and Brent Bozell senior wrote an entire book defending Sen. Joe McCarthy.
Second, he minimizes the craziness of Richard Mellon Scaife and falsely claims that "there is no record of Scaife having stable partisan beliefs other his funding of a hatchery of Clinton-bashers that produced the vile theory that Bill and Hillary Clinton were responsible for suicide Vincent Foster’s death." Scaife has supported conservative organizations with tens of millions of dollars for at least 40 years.
There's more but you get the point.
