Think Progress and others noted that Mark Shields really regrets not being around for the Battle of Thermopylae (known to most wingnuts as the battle in "300") and whines that we don't have a President who exhibits those "manly" values.
Because Shields said this on Inside Washington, I thought this was clearly a case of giving his remarks much more distribution than Shields got from the original outlet but I learned from Media Matters that IW is very popular inside the Beltway.
