LARRY KUDLOW JOINS HASSETT AND PROF. DICE

(h/t HuffPo)

You may recall that John Hassett was one of Granpa McWar's economic advisers but you may have forgotten that in 1999 he co-authored a book that predicted within a few years the Dow Jones Average would reach 36,000. Around the same time, Larry Kudlow seems to have been struck by the same "irrational exuberance" virus and wrote that within a few years, the Dow would hit 15,000 and continue upward until it reached 50,000 in 2020.

Prof. Charles Amos Dice of The Ohio State University has been saved from oblivion by J.K. Galbraith's study of the Great Depresson (pp. 13-14) and perhaps serves as a forerunner to the two free market bozos mentioned above. In 1928, Prof. Dice was certain that "the Coolidge Market had gone forward like the phalanxes of Cyrus, parasang upon parasang and again parasang upon parasang..." and would most certainly continue to rise.
