and his choice of Sarah Palin may top the list. Her ignorance was and is simply astounding. She thought Saddam Hussein was behind 9-11 and didn't know why there were two Koreas. Given a chance to explain himself, McCain turned snotty:

Was it true, Lauer asked, that the vetting of Sarah Palin was so woefully inadequate that no one from the campaign traveled to Alaska to interview her husband or any of her political opponents?
