CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT HANNITY WOULD SAY IF AL GORE WORE ANOTHER COUNTRY'S FLAG PIN?

(h/t Glenn Greenwald)

I didn't notice this but the WaPo did:
2) She wore a fitted black suit, black hose and high black platform heels. She had on three opera-length strands of pearls, two white and one multi-colored. In her lapel, a small pin with two flags -- for Israel and the United States.

Read Greenwald who made a good argument about it yesterday as well. Only problem I had with Glen's post was his negative references to tea party "nationalism." I mailed him, saying, good post, except there is no such thing as dual loyalty nationalism. If any substantive nationalism was therefore present at the t.p. rally, Palin would have been booed off the stage.

Ken, I agree. Of course, that didn't stop Douglas Feith from supporting the Likud Party.

Of course I recognize it is worthwhile from Greenwald's point of view to decry nationalism as such, and if the faux variety is all the U.S. is capable of, (due to Lobby control,) let Glen have at it.

Not sure if it is in the on-line
edition but American Conservative has interesting commentary how the Ky Libertarian Party has abandoned
GOP candidate Rand Paul son of Ron because he has reneged on his (and his dad Ron's) stances on closing Gitmo and ending the Afghan War, in order to appeal to the Mitch McConnell crew in his KY run for office. Palin has endorsed him, probably due to his retreat.

It's nice to read that some political groups actually follow their principles.
