Sheriff Joe Arpaio came out in favor of J.D. Hayworth and Sen. DeMint refused to endorse McCain.
McCain is running (at least) radio ads attacking Hayworth but they often run on wingnut stations that not only carry national hosts who don't care for McCain, but also run spoof ads that attack him.
