I THINK CHRIS CILLIZZA IS WRONG

He thinks Sarah Palin doesn't have much of a political future, in part for this reason:
Finally, as we wrote earlier this week, Palin has largely subsisted since the 2008 election on soundbites.

While that soundbite strategy has paid off in the short term, it poses a longer term danger as Palin must show more depth from a policy perspective if she wants to go beyond her current "gut" appeal among Republican voters.

Well, soundbite politics is the essence of the conservative campaign plan and there's a lot of evidence for that, such as defining the debate by using misleading terms such as death tax and death panels. It's true that she isn't as fluent as Reagan but she is a better speaker than Bush, so I'd say she has a good chance of being the GOP candidate in 2012.
