OK, THERE'S A LOT MORE WRONG WITH DAVID BROOKS

But I'd like to concentrate in this tiny part of his newest idiocy barrage:
David Brooks: ... Unlike 90 percent of America, I was rooting for Duke last night. This was widely cast as a class conflict — the upper crust Dukies against the humble Midwestern farm boys.

I'm not a sports junkie but I did read about the NCAA tournament and I listened to sports talk radio. I never heard or read anything that would come close to suggesting that the championship game was "widely cast as a class conflict."
